About us........  My husband Jamie and I came to Belize in 1994 to find a
potential retirement location for the future.  We purchased this beach front lot on
Ambergris Caye shortly after our first trip but didn't start construction until
2002. Initially all we wanted was a  beach bungalow, but our plans changed as we
built bigger and stronger buildings to stand up to the oceanfront location. We have
evolved into a  small lodging facility, where we have created a vacation destination
for those looking for an intimate and low key property as a base to explore the
wonders of Belize.
Here is a little more insight into what's happening at Cocotal for those of you who
may be interested. We will keep updating as things unfold and as we take on new
projects.   ~ Tanya Graf, owner

Kayaks and Bicycles
There are three kayaks for our guests to
use - a single and two tandems. You can
paddle out to a buoy at the reef where you
can tie up and snorkel. We've got a limited
amount of masks and snorkels to use. It's
always good if you can bring your own,
especially if you are hard to fit.
In addition to the kayaks we also
have 10 bicycles with baskets
available for touring around. The
time to town is about 20 minutes with
most of the ride along the beach
front. You can get some exercise
and see the sights at the same time!
Honor Bar
Mara's favorite hang out
At our honor bar you can sign out cold
drinks - Belikin beer (Regular and
Lighthouse), Coke, Sprite and Fanta.
For your convenience, you will be billed
at the end of your stay for items
consumed. Your bottled water
containers can be refilled any time at
the bar dispenser at no charge.

Our satellite radio system  provides a
nice selection of music, and TV is
available as well.

There is a barbecue grill ready for you
to cook up some fish or chicken. The
bar kitchen is equipped with plates,
utensils and glassware so you can
enjoy your BBQ meal at our outside
dining table.
Thanks for taking the time to read about what we have been doing at Cocotal.
We will continue to update this page as there are additions and improvements to our
amenities, and to report things of interest. Please check back from time to time to
see what is happening.
Wireless Internet Access
We are connected via a dsl line and have free WiFi available on the property.
There is good connectivity from multiple locations, but not all units receive a signal.
We suggest that you bring your own equipment (laptop, netbook or internet
capable phones) as we do not have designated equipment for guests. Our office
computer is allocated for business use only.

Our New Cabana!
We have just finished construction of our
second garden cabana. The layout is
similar to our prototype with a few small
changes. Located to the back of the
property, the cabanas offer a private
more secluded alternative to a hotel
room at comparable prices. We think you
will agree that these units are lovely in
design and ambiance.
Each studio cabana has a kitchen and a
dining area with all you need to cook
everything from meals to snacks - a
great way to cut down on your travel
expenses.
Our vaulted ceilings are made of
beautiful Belizean hardwoods.
The sleeping area has a closet and
dresser, flat panel TV, sitting area
and a king size bed. A mini split air
conditioning system and ceiling fans
provide comfortable temperatures
inside all year round.  Our cabanas are
an exceptional value at $1
10 US (low
season) and $1
35 US (high season) a
night.
